Yes. All payments are processed through our secure escrow system. Your money is never sent directly to the artisan — it's held by FixIt and only released when you confirm the job is complete. We never store your full card details on our servers.

The full verification process typically takes 3–5 business days. Identity and document verification is instant. The background check takes up to 48 hours. Portfolio review takes 1–2 business days. We'll email you at each stage.
Once the homeowner confirms the job is complete, payment is released immediately and reaches your bank account within 24 hours. Pro plan members get same-day payouts. We support all major US banks, ACH transfers, Zelle, and debit cards.
This is exactly why we use escrow. The client's payment is held before you start the job. Once you complete the work and the client confirms, the funds are automatically released. You can never be left unpaid for a completed job — the money is already secured.
